I founded Teleteria
in September of 1994 with no money, no credit,
no computers and no understanding of the internet.
At first we sold 900 numbers and local 970 for
NY Telephone. I opened up an office at 575 Lexington
Ave at 51st St. You needed to have a point of
presence on the east side between 46th St and
64th St to have 970 numbers to get service from
the local point of presence (pop) from NY Telephone.
The
larger companies in the audiotex industry were
about to start offering adult sites to the general
public but they were going to be doing the processing
and keeping a percentage of the clients money.
My
idea was to build custom adult turnkey sites
for people and have them get paid directly on
their revenue from the billing company. This
way the client keeps all their money and we
charge a monthly flat fee instead of taking
a percentage. This concept catapulted Teleteria
to the forefront of the adult design industry.
Teleteria
has been written up on the front page of The
Wall Street Journal,
the NY Press,
various magazines and Jay has also appeared
on tv and radio. AVN
Magazine has written about Teleteria
several times and has also asked Jay
Servidio to write articles about the business.
Jay
has been a guest speaker at trade shows in Las
Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Toronto,
Madrid, Amsterdam, Budapest, Prague, London
and Rome. Jay has also taught classes on the
Adult Internet Industry for the Learning Annex
in NYC and Toronto for 5 years. Still to this
day Teleteria
is the largest most successful adult design
company on earth. We offer the best design and
